Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a CNC Miller to join an established and growing company in the Ayrshire region. Our client is an international manufacturer, dedicated to heavy engineering and largescale as well as small scale products worldwide.

What's on Offer:

  • Straight to permanent employment
  • Up to £24/hr (inc of shift allowance)
  • 37hr work week
  • 5 day work week
  • Monday to Friday, early and back shifts
  • 33 days holiday per year

This role will report directly to the workshop manager and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team of operatives in ensuring high quality production of precision components.

Duties will involve the following:

  • Operation of manual and CNC milling machinery
  • Using inspection equipment to ensure that components are manufactured to all sizes, tolerances and finishes
  • Provision of customer service skills
  • Working within a small collaborative team

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must have:

  • An apprenticeship in milling, with recent CNC experience
  • Experience in programming and operating CNC Milling machinery
  • Knowledge of Fanuc programming language
  • Own transportation/must live within a commutable distance
  • Right to work in the UK
  • The ability to hit the ground running
