About the Role:


New Resource Recruitment is currently seeking a Canteen Cook to join our client in Melksham for a 3-month fixed-term contract.


In this role, you will primarily support the Canteen Supervisor in daily operations and step in to deputise during their absence.


This position offers a great work-life balance with no evening, weekend, or bank holiday shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and close kitchen procedures
  • Daily kitchen management
  • Cash handling and end-of-day reporting
  • Food ordering and preparation
  • Maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards
  • Serving food and managing the service counter
  • Stocking and cleaning vending machines
  • General cleaning of canteen tables

What Were Looking For:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry
  • Strong working knowledge of the Safer Food, Better Business Manual
  • Ability to manage daily kitchen operations and handle cash
  • Experience in food preparation, ordering, and maintaining cleanliness standards

Benefits:
