Job description

Job Title: Handyman

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Place of Work: Seend

Hours/Days: 21 hours a week

Position Summary

This position is responsible for looking after all tools and machinery at the brewery based in Seend, as well as designing and making parts that are needed to keep the brewery operating well.

Specific Responsibilities

· Support the set up of a new bottling line and set of fermenters

· Fix broken pieces of equipment

· Making adaptations to brewery equipment including fermenters and the bottling line

· Suggest ways that the facility can be improved

· Design new systems needed to improve the facility

· Use the 3D printer to make specific parts for the brewery

· Work closely with the Production Manager, Lead Brewer and Lead Dispatch to ensure they all have safe equipment in order to do their jobs

· Keep the kitchen and bathroom functioning well

· Organise and liaise with external partners for plumbing and electric jobs

· Work closely with the Founder to ensure his requests are carried out

The ideal candidate would

· Understand mechanics

· Have previously worked in a factory environment

· Be able to carry out all handyman duties

· Understand the basics of brewing
