Vehicle Assembly Operative

Salary: £27,000 - £34,500 + depending on experience + £1,500 bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Location: Atworth, Wiltshire

Our client, a multi-award winning commercial vehicle dealership group has opened a new manufacturing site in Atworth.

The Role
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced, and knowledgeable assembly operative to join our new team; someone who is passionate about engaging with company values and delivery quality service levels for customers. 

Day to day you will be:

  • Working independently and on own initiative to set timelines and standards.
  • Read engineering and fabrication drawings provided and work from own initiative.
  • Installing vehicle panels using hand and power tools
  • Basic wiring of lights and fixtures on commercial vehicles
  • Experience in drilling, jigged and un-jigged assembly to drawings

The Successful Individual
  

  • Assembly experience (1 year, required
  • MIG / TIG Welding (1 year, preferred but not necessary))
  • Fabrication (1 year, preferred but not necessary)
  • You have an excellent understanding of the manufacturing process
