We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors for both ad-hoc and long-term positions in Melksham. Our school is tucked away in the outskirts of Melksham over looking the Wiltshire country side, the site holds fantastic sports facilities which can also be utilised by the local community in the evenings. The school benefits from being part of a larger trust allowing it access to a broad base of planning and resource. Any teachers joining this school on a supply basis would benefit from being involved in the team and being supporting by the leadership team, any subject specialists would be greatly received at this school. 

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the teacher.
  • Ensure that pre-set work is completed by students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Assist students with their work and clarify learning objectives.
  • Ensure the safety and safeguarding of students at all times.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to enhance educational processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role or educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to adhere to and enforce school policies and procedures.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
