- Sell to a high variety of retailers across the UK. High focus on independent retail & garden centre channels.
- An opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the team covering the East Midlands territory, will also include surrounding counties in the South.
The role:
- Managing East Midlands territory. Counties will include Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding area.
- Selling to a mix of retailers including independent retailers, garden centres and small department stores
- Working as part of an independent sales team, striving to achieve targets both as a team and individually
- Work with autonomy, manage your own diary effectively and all journey plans
- Develop existing business and seek new business opportunities across the area
- Be a strong relationship builder, networker and have a passion for the industry
Ideal candidate:
Will need to have previous area sales or territory sales management experience
- Will need to have experience of operating in a territory or area sales manager role, comfortable being field based.
- Would be highly beneficial to have experience within customer channel including garden centres, independent retailers and small department stores.
- Will ideally have experience of operating in a non-food product category - for example gifting, home, toys, fragrances or a closely related industry.
- Will need to be ambitious, diligent, organised and able to manage your own diary and time effectively.
- Target driven, good at building relationships and enjoy being customer facing.
- Able to travel across the territory as per the needs of the role and business.

- £40-45,000 basic salary
