With a National presence, the company are a leading Innovative Packaging materials & Bespoke Packaging Solutions Provider to an array of industries. The company are looking for a 3PL National Accounts Executive to join their team.

Title: 3PL National Accounts Executive

Salary: £40,000 Plus Bonus

Role and Responsibilities:

To support the partnership and strategic development of a key 3PL customer, maintain and grow sales and profitability of new and existing sites. A development role covering external responsibilities.

  • Daily Sales,
  • New Business & Gap Sales Analysis,
  • Gross Margin return,
  • KPI’s and personal objectives as agreed with line manager.

Finance

  • Support and learn the cost to serve model supported by Account Director.
  • Ongoing competitor analysis.
  • Monthly account report to the Account Director, including GAP & New Business sales activity with a brief summary of activity.
  • To comply with annually agreed KPI’s and business objectives and help with reporting.

Sales

  • To work with the Account Director and Key Account Manager to develop the account strategy and to identify and secure profitable new business within the contract.
  • Support external site visits as required and be the liaison between site & . Site visit frequency and plan to be agreed with the Account Director.
  • To take external accountability of day-to-day activities across the sites assigned to the sales area.
  • Take a proactive approach to site contact, with a regular plan to touch each trading site.
  • Build effective relationships at all levels across multiple sites.
  • Support quick turnaround of quotes.
  • Actively update Monday.com for daily tactical work.
  • Review & understand customer forecasts, qualifying data & ensuring robust communication between departments.
  • Work in conjunction with the customer technical support to maximise opportunities, deliver continuous improvement & effectively manage documentation of projects.

Customer Service

  • To efficiently manage customer enquiries and queries to promote exceptional customer service.
  • Have a clear understanding of site requirements & opportunities.
  • Support the entire sales cycle - enquiry to invoice, managing between departments to meet customer expectations.
  • Support assigned 3PL implementation/onboarding of new sites/contracts as required.
  • Identify and recommend new ways of working to improve our service levels to sites
  • Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal and team job skills keep pace with legislative and business developments.
  • Monthly housekeeping on all reports to Customer & Account Director including monitoring of contract KPI’s.

Health and safety

  • Follow identified safe working practices.
  • To complete training on Company health and safety policies.
  • Maintain any company provided vehicle in a roadworthy condition, always ensuring it reflects positively on the company image.

Qualifications and knowledge:

Customer Focus

  • Demonstrates the ability to build a rapport and mange meetings to deliver required level of Customer Service.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of how our VP could offer benefit to the contract and how this cascades into sites.
  • Through appropriate questioning and structure can clearly define customer requirements and how we will be best placed to grow the business.
  • Continually deliver a high level of customer service, through creativity and innovation.

  • Demonstrates activity focussing on both retaining and growing the business.
  • Works to a high standard that matches the requirements of the business and recognises the importance of timely completion of tasks.

  • Adapts to changes and uses resources effectively. Together with line manager & Account Director sets objectives, establish priorities and develops plans. Arranges work schedules and prioritises work to meet deadlines. Seeks clarification and approval where appropriate before commences new projects or working methods.

  • Willingness to offer flexibility with work hours to get the job done.Is willing to help in areas outside of role. Use of initiative to ensure tasks are completed. Supportive of manager and wider team goals and objectives

Technical skills

  • Computer Literate, numerate, attention to detail, logical and methodical approach to work, to learn and be conversant with all systems.
