Electrical Estimator

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 Based on Experience

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our clients team. You will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with electrical installations, ensuring that our bids are competitive while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. You will also ensure that the bids process runs smoothly and meets deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitor ongoing projects to ensure they are executed effectively, and provide support to teams as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Analysis: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the scope and requirements.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, and other project expenses.
  • Vendor and Subcontract Relations: collaborate with Suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and negotiate pricing.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Documentation: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project estimates.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical estimating for commercial and/or industrial projects.
  • Technical skills: Proficient in using electrical estimating software and familiarity with industry standard codes.
  • IT skills: Proficient in using Microsoft office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Communication: Strong written communication skills with the ability to present and explain estimates to internal teams and clients.
  • Detail orientated: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs.
