Manpower is recruiting a general office manager to work for our public sector client, the NHS.
Location: Merthyr
Job type: Temporary, ongoing 3 - 6 months
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Rota: Hours are 8:30 am to 5pm - Monday to Friday - (Flexibility with working hours is required)
Hourly rate: 11.45 - 12.31
Main duties & responsibilities
- Plan daily tasks and assist in the General Office operations
- Produce staff ID badges and manage access groupings
- Complete weekly and monthly pay cards for various departments
- Record sickness and annual leave for staff
- Handle petty cash requests and patient travel expense claims
- Address general queries from staff, patients, and visitors
- Communicate effectively as the first point of contact for the office
- Maintain good relationships with Payroll, Finance, Catering, and other teams
- Use IT systems like Excel and databases regularly
- Keep accurate financial records in line with health board policies
Desired Qualifications & skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Customer Care or equivalent experience
- Office work, cash handling, and using IT systems (Word, Excel)
- Strong communication
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
