Description
- Develop and implement HSE strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Establish policies that will create and maintain a safe workplace
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
- Initiate and organise training of employees and executives
- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances, etc.
- Report on HSE performance and suggest improvements
Profile
A successful HSE Manager should have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related field
- A professional qualification in health and safety
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with a clear ability to work well with others
