Hours: Mon - Fri, Full time. Term Time Only

Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Merton (CR4) to appoint a committed and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in April 2025. The school has a strong focus on individual learning and wellbeing and is seeking someone who can support students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will be supporting children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with identified SEND, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential
  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCo to implement EHCPs and personalised learning plans
  • Assist with developing stimulating classroom and play environments to meet pupils' needs
  • Support with phonics, literacy, numeracy, and social skills development
  • Support class teachers with lesson preparation and delivery.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Prior experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • A positive, resilient and proactive approach to support
  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
