Day-to-Day of the SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant Role:- Provide targeted support to students with SEMH, enhancing their educational and personal development.
- Work closely with teachers to implement effective educational strategies and interventions.
- Assist in the development and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Support students in both classroom settings and vocational training areas, ensuring a cohesive learning experience.
- Engage with students to foster a positive learning environment, encouraging progress and participation.
- Proven experience as a SEMH Specialist Teaching Assistant or in a similar role supporting children with special educational needs.
- A deep understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and a proactive approach to addressing these.
- Must possess a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team.
