TeacherActive is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in amazing SEND schools across Rotherham. We work with several schools that provide support to children from EYFS to Post-16 and with a range of needs (including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, etc).

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will be passionate about helping children who have complex needs and will be able to tailor their approach to a variety of unique children.

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant should have the following:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or experience with children who have Special Educational Needs
  • A calm, patient, and caring persona
  • Good behaviour management
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in working with and supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
