Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant primary school located on the outskirts of Rotherham. This long-term, on-going role offers an exciting opportunity to support students' learning and development in a supportive and collaborative setting. Your role will be integral to the success and well-being of our pupils, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting Learning: Work alongside teachers to deliver lessons and support students' learning, providing individual and group interventions where needed.
  • Classroom Management: Assist in maintaining a positive and conducive learning environment, ensuring that classroom management strategies are effectively implemented.
  • Lesson Planning: Collaborate with teachers to plan and prepare engaging and effective lessons, utilising a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Student Assessment: Help in assessing students' progress, providing feedback, and supporting their individual educational plans.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress and involvement in school activities.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: HLTA qualification or equivalent, with relevant experience in a primary school setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students. Proficient in classroom management and lesson planning.
  • Attributes: Passionate about education, patient, and adaptable, with a positive and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
