  • Salary: £46,772 per annum (Spine Point CM).
  • Location: Rotherham, Worksop, Wath Upon Dearne
  • Pension: Automatic Enrollment in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Curriculum Manager to lead curriculum provision at one of our college campuses. This role involves providing leadership in daily curriculum operations, contributing to local skills improvement plans, and supporting economic growth by aligning educational offerings with local industry needs.

As a Curriculum Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum strategies that meet the needs of learners and local employers. You will manage a successful curriculum department, lead innovation in teaching programs, and establish community and business partnerships to enhance learner experiences and employability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Lead curriculum planning, design, and delivery, ensuring programs are innovative and aligned with industry standards.
  • Staff Leadership: Inspire and manage curriculum staff, conducting performance reviews, and providing opportunities for professional development.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality teams to ensure high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment, supporting continuous professional development activities.
  • Student Success: Manage curriculum operations, student recruitment, retention, and progression, and drive initiatives that support academic and pastoral success.
  • Community Engagement: Develop strong relationships with local authorities, employers, and other stakeholders to establish work placement opportunities and learner progression pathways.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee curriculum reviews, planning, and extracurricular activities, ensuring the delivery meets strategic objectives for learner success, quality education, and financial sustainability.

Role Objectives:

  • Increase student enrollment, focusing on maximizing funding streams such as apprenticeships, adult education, and higher education.
  • Develop and implement new courses and curricula aligned with emerging industry trends and student needs.
  • Ensure all learners participate in meaningful work placements that support their career goals.
  • Oversee timetabling of programs, staff, and resources to optimize efficiency and learner experience.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with the Director of Campus and the Director of Business Development to strengthen employer partnerships.
  • Lead projects with external partners to support recruitment, work placement, and career progression for learners.
  • Promote college programs through marketing, recruitment events, and community partnerships.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience managing a successful curriculum department and implementing programs that meet industry demands.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teaching, support, and technical staff.
  • Expertise in curriculum planning and development with knowledge of funding streams and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
