Rotherham Council are seeking a forward-thinking, proactive, and dynamic Head of OD & Change. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of workforce approaches, ensuring high performance and alignment with our core values and behaviours.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the Council’s OD and Change team within the Assistant Chief Executive’s directorate, supporting an ambitious and wide-ranging change programme.
  • Work collaboratively with service leads while providing assurance to the Strategic Leadership Team.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the organisation by ensuring that managers and individuals are engaged, developed, and supported in their roles.
  • Handle responsibilities across various service priorities including organisational development, organisational change, employee engagement, EDI, learning and development, and Health and Social Care workforce transformation.
  • Build relationships and forge strong, robust partnerships with senior officers across the council and with external partners.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Head of OD & Change or similar role, preferably within a complex and challenging environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire trust and confidence among senior leaders.
  • Strong technical knowledge in organisational development and change management.
  • Experience in employee engagement, EDI, learning and development, and related fields.
  • Experience in the public sector is advantageous but not essential.
