The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, and directing maintenance activities, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations throughout.

My client is a growing manufacturing business based in Rotherham, and with several new projects on the horizon now is an exciting time to join the company as they continue to grow and expand.
This appointment is a new role to the company and will work closely with colleagues in engineering, operations and projects. This role will suit someone who is capable of managing a team, move the dial forward in terms of preventative/predictive maintenance and someone who is driving change from the front.
Description
- To lead, manage and develop a team of 8 Engineers and Supervisors.
- Organise PPMs, proactive and reactive maintenance strategies suitable to meet business demands.
- Coordinate the installation of new equipment and oversee upgrades or modifications.
- To find create solutions to problems that arise, allowing the business to push forward and not stand still or fall behind production.
- Look after day-to-day activities of the plant, developing the maintenance schedule and CMMS, lead on asset care and projects/CAPEX.
- Ensuring that all operations take place with health and safety protocols in mind.
Profile
The successful Maintenance Manager will have:
- Experience in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing/production equipment.
- Experience in managing multi-skilled engineering teams.
- Self-motivated mindset and the ability to think for themselves.
- Competent at fault-finding and solution orientated, sometimes thinking outside the box to resolve issues effectively.
- An apprenticeship background with HNC in either Mechanical or Electrical would be advantageous.
