Elevation is partnering with a leading tool manufacturing company in Rotherham to hire a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
The position offers a salary of £48,300 and requires at least 3 years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
Candidates should have a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, with HNC or HND being advantageous.
The role involves attending to breakdowns, performing planned preventative maintenance, and working both independently and as part of a team.

Salary: £48,300

Location: Rotherham

Hours: Bespoke days and nights shift pattern- work 12 days out of 28!

Duties of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

Attending to breakdowns
Planned preventative maintenance will be a daily task as one of the core values of the company
Working within a team environment so must be a team player, but also work from own initiative when needed
Installation of new machinery as and when needed
Ensure always adhering to health and safety procedures.
Working on a variation of machinery due to nature of business-
Working from drawings both mechanical and electrical with the electrical engineer on shift
Welding
Fabrication and sheet metal work

Desired experience:

You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained)
It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
Ideally have 3 years experience within in a mechanical maintenance engineer position recently
Must have strong mechanical knowledge but have basic electrical knowledge also
Ideally have welding and fabrication experience
Must have worked within a manufacturing maintenance background previously
