Section Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading manufacturing business who are looking for a Section Engineer for their facility near Rotherham.

Salary - £50-53k

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Section Engineer will be responsible for continuous improvements and reliability of the assets.

Duties of the Section Engineer will include:

• Propose and implement changes to processes and systems, cost down initiatives, productivity improvements and quality enhancement
• Lead in identifying production bottlenecks and use of problem solving tools to identify opportunities for improvement
• Actively contribute and support continuous improvements of manufacturing processes, equipment, work methods and activities
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of production process, equipment and technology
• Work with external suppliers and where appropriate obtain quotations, consumables, for plant work / upgrades and refurbishment work and where necessary manage contractor activity on site, ensuring inductions, Authorisation to Work Systems and work permits are enforced
• Manage the design, specification and ordering of equipment, liaising with technical staff as appropriate

We would like to speak with Section Engineers/Maintenance Team Leaders/Maintenance Supervisor with the following:

• ONC or above in Mechanical Engineering
• Have the mindset and previous experience looking at breakdown data to identify RCA (root cause analysis)
• Relevant and demonstrable experience within a heavy industry manufacturing environment would be advantageous
