Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a retailer who are looking to recruit a Product Compliance Officer in Rotherham. Reporting into the Managing Director, the role will ensure products meet all applicable regulatory requirements, predominantly in the UK, European Union, and United States. This role will work closely with the Product Development team during the design and development process and liaise with their supply chain colleagues in China who coordinate directly with manufacturing partners. The role will suit someone looking for part-time around 3 days a week, although this is negotiable.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure product compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards across the UK, EU, and USA markets.
- Provide guidance to the Product Development team on compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with supply chain colleagues and factory partners in China to ensure production meets compliance and quality expectations.
- Commission product testing, certification processes, and technical documentation.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation of necessary updates.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance data and support internal and external audits as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries across the business.

- Proven experience in product compliance, ideally within consumer goods or giftware.
- Strong knowledge of relevant UK, EU, and US regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across international teams.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach to risk identification and mitigation versus commercial practicalities.
