This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced quality professional to take on a leadership role in a dynamic manufacturing environment.This company provides services to OEMs across industries such as defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling, and rail, with in-house capabilities including laser cutting, CNC machining, fabrication, welding, shot blasting, painting, and assembly.About the Role:
  • Lead the Quality Inspection team, ensuring a productive and efficient working environment.
  • Act as the point of contact for any queries or concerns related to inspection.
  • Follow the Inspection Plan set by the Quality Manager and ensure the team adheres to it.
  • Conduct inspections using available equipment and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
  • Create inspection reports for all components and fabrications.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Engineers and production teams to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Perform monthly internal calibration of measurement equipment and maintain calibration records.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, training and mentoring them to enhance their skills and knowledge.
About You:
  • Proven experience in quality/inspection within a metal engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • Measuring Arms (Faro or similar)
    • CMM 
    • General handheld tools (Vernier, Tape, Rule, Bevel Box, etc.)
  • Experience in leading, training, and mentoring a team of inspectors.
  • Excellent understanding of quality control processes and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements while maintaining focus on quality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of leading and supporting team members.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
