Finance Assistant Rotherham, South YorkshireElevation Accountancy & Finance Recruitment are delighted to have partnered with a business based in Rotherham as they look to recruit a Finance Assistant into their team on a permanent, full-time basis. We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support the daily financial operations of the business. This role involves managing financial transactions, assisting with payroll and purchasing, and ensuring accurate record-keeping - the ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and matching supplier invoices
  • Preparing and executing payment runs
  • Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
  • Posting transport-related invoices
  • Creating and managing purchase orders
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and monitoring overdue payments
  • Reconciling transport statements and managing proof of delivery records
  • Payroll admin duties 
  • Monitoring and recording daily banking transactions
  • Posting cash book entries and reconciling bank statements
  • Managing petty cash transactions and ensuring accurate records
  • Processing expense claims and company credit card statements
  • Assisting with month-end accounts preparation
  • Supporting year-end data collation and audits
