Day-to-Day of the SEN Teacher Role:
  • Develop and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with SEMH.

  • Collaborate with other professionals within the school to plan and coordinate support across various aspects of the students’ education.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Assess and record students’ progress, adapting teaching methods to suit individual needs and abilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role, ideally within an SEMH setting.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and a dedicated approach to overcoming these.
  • Must possess a current DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.
