Speech and Language TherapistVeritas Education is currently working with one of our partner schools in Rotherham to find a dedicated and skilled Speech and Language Therapist. In this role, you will assess, plan, and deliver therapy for students facing communication barriers and language needs.

Role Overview:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify pupils' speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with SEN staff.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to help students improve their communication skills.
  • Monitor, report, and adjust therapy plans based on students' progress and evolving needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the SENDCO and other staff to ensure seamless support for all pupils.
  • Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training on supporting communication development at home.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully qualified in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A flexible and student-focused approach to promoting wellbeing and development.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Makaton is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with children with complex needs.
