Reed - Further Education are seeking a Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer to deliver up to Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery courses in both the workshop and classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a joinery professional to make a career change; down with the “tools” and into the classroom to share your knowledge and expertise influencing the next generation of skilled carpenters.

You may also be an experience tutor or assessor, looking for a change or a new challenge. Whatever your rationale, this role is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference.

We are looking for a joiner who is experienced in Site Joinery.

What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?

  • Teaching qualification i.e. AET, PTLLS, PGCE, certificate in education or willing to work towards (DESIRABLE)
  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification in subject area.
  • Experience interacting with 16–19-year-olds in education or apprentice setting.
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Candidates should be an effective and motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.
  • You will be able to bring the subject to life, using combined methods of practical, theoretical and digital which will engage your learners and provide them with the best skills, knowledge and behaviours for the future.
  • You will have an enhanced DBS or willingness to get one.
