  • Chartered engineer status or working towards chartership is preferred, with a focus on fostering a risk-based approach to asset integrity management.
  • The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required.

Our client, based in Teesside, is looking for a Piping Integrity Engineer, to join their Engineering team.

Hours of work would beMonday to Friday 08.00am - 4.00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement piping and pipeline inspection programmes, fit for purpose assessments and repair and upgrade strategies, fostering a risk based and proactive approach to asset integrity management
  • Provide technical support, leadership and guidance to projects, operations and maintenance
  • Implementation of a Risk Based Inspection programme for piping, pipeline and structural assets
  • Responsible for ensuring asset registers are maintained as-built
  • Ensure compliance with Pipeline Safety Regulations and Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR)
  • Develop piping and pipeline inspection standards and scopes of work that implement best practices in non-destructive testing and visual inspection
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations on inspection & repair contractor proposals
  • Monitor performance of inspection contractors
  • Scoping, planning and management of piping, pipeline and structural inspection
  • Review of inspection reports, conduct fit for purpose assessments and specify repair plans
  • Tracking repair action plans through to completion


Requirements:

  • Chartered engineer or working towards chartership
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • API 570 Inspector Qualification
  • API 579 Fitness for Service/ API 580 RBI Qualification
  • NDT Qualifications
  • Experience managing piping inspection works on COMAH sites and cross country pipelines
