CNC Machinist – Nightshift

- Salary: Dayshift - £18.14 p/hr, Nightshift - £22.68 p/hr
We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be a time-served machinist with experience in turning and milling. This role requires a proactive individual who can work well within a team environment and has a strong understanding of CNC Machining in an Industrial Engineering setting.
Day to Day of the role:
- Programming and operating CNC machines to produce products that meet quality standards and specifications.
- Understanding and working with tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes.
- Using measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs, and ring gauges.
- Working with a variety of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
- Demonstrating a can-do attitude and collaborating effectively with team members.
- Being flexible and willing to work overtime to meet customer requirements.
- Continuously expanding knowledge and training in other machining processes.
- Sharing expertise and training other team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Time-served CNC machinist with turning and/or milling experience.
- Experience in a CNC Machining/Industrial Engineering environment.
- Proficient in programming and operating CNC machines.
- Familiarity with a wide range of materials.
- Ability to use various measuring equipment.
- Strong team player with a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.
- Enthusiastic about learning and personal development.

Hours of work:
- Standard Dayshift - 38 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 0730 to 1600 with 30-minute lunch, Fridays 0730 to 1330.
- Standard Nightshift – 38 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 1800 to 0330 with 30-minute lunch.
