Night Shift CNC Operative

Are you looking for a position with an immediate start, in a fast-paced environment? We now require a full-time permanent CNC Operative based at our site in Middlesbrough. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing quality machined & cut steel parts to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Operation of plasma arc, oxyfuel & CNC machinery.

Opportunity to train on other machines.

Drilling / machining experience would be advantageous.

Working in a heavy engineering environment.

FLT / overhead crane experience preferable.

Safe use of all machinery at all times.

Working to tight deadlines.

Accurately complete production paperwork.

Mark incoming steel with unique identification data.

Pre-pick steel plate ready for production, move plate to and from stock and move plate to and from process equipment using remote controlled overhead cranes.

To carry out a variety of different duties if required, as set by the Night Shift Supervisor.

To maintain the companys health & safety standards at all times, including general housekeeping duties such as keeping your workstation tidy.

Dressing and grinding of profiles and inspecting the quality of all products prior to packaging for dispatch.

Load and unload vehicles.

We are looking for candidates who have:

A positive attitude and are willing to learn more skills on the job.

Confidence on the job and are happy to take on more responsibility if necessary.

Experience in profile burning advantageous, but training can be provided.

We are looking for a motivated individual with keen eye for detail and good numeracy skills, and an excellent attendance record.

Shift Pattern:

The role will be weekly night shift 4.30pm 4am Monday to Thursday

Overtime when available
