Credit ManagerMiddlesborough£50-60k DOE Monday – Friday 38.75 hours We have partnered with a market leading business within their field who are looking for an experienced Credit Manager to join them on a permanent basis.  You will take the reins of the credit control and credit risk functions, developing strategies that ensure strong cash flow, minimise risk, and support sustainable business growth. Your leadership will be crucial in motivating the credit control team and maintaining robust financial health across the company.Key Duties:
  • Lead, coach, and support the Credit Control team
  • Set and monitor cash collection and aged debt reduction targets
  • Oversee credit approvals and customer risk assessments
  • Report monthly performance and highlight areas of concern to senior management
  • Conduct regular ledger reviews and ensure the integrity of sales ledger accounts
  • Manage retrospective rebate processes and produce detailed reporting
  • Manage large multimillion pound accounts
  • Monitor and escalate credit risk issues promptly
  • Maintain up-to-date customer databases and identify risk profile changes
The Ideal Candidate:
  • CICM qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience in the build or simailr industry, confident handling multi-million-pound ledgers.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Proven negotiation skills and confident communication at all levels
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
