Join a leading Oil & Gas equipment manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in the North East of England.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Conduct NDT in-process and finished machined components and high integrity fabrication welds to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Produce technical NDT reports and understand the differences between Ferromagnetic & Non-Ferromagnetic Alloy materials.
  • Assist in various other QC activities such as Pressure Testing, Hardness Testing, Heat Treatment, PMI, and Thickness Checks.
  • Work flexibly to meet customer requirements, including willingness to work overtime.
  • Engage in personal development and training and be willing to pass on knowledge and train others.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong NDT background with a minimum of PCN level 2 qualifications in MPI, LPI, and UT (3.1 / 3.2).
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office packages including Excel and Word.
  • Strong mathematical skills and the ability to understand engineering drawings.
  • Experience working within an Engineering production environment.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and an understanding of Engineering Standards such as ASME / API is advantageous but not essential.

Hours of Work

Our client offers a variety of shift patterns including:

Standard Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm, Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm

Rotating Shifts: Dayshift: Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm / Nightshift: Monday to Thursday 6:00pm to 3:30am
