Job Description:
The purpose of the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Manager role is to collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Finance to develop, implement, and maintain the SIOP process within the ERP system. Key responsibilities include:
- Long-term planning and capacity forecasting
- Collaborating with the sales department to understand demand
- Short-term demand profiling for production and procurement teams
- Managing and maintaining production SCP data (resource levels, OEE, standard times) to balance supply and demand
- Supporting commercial activities using cost estimations via the simulator
- Continually developing the simulator to create a permanent software solution
- Developing and optimizing forecasting and demand planning processes to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirements
- Supporting working capital/inventory strategies for inventory optimization through effective SIOP execution in alignment with demand and supply planning execution
- Developing effective statistical forecast models based on industry trends and customer-specific demand patterns
Skills & Experience:
- Educated to bachelor's degree level or higher
- Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced ERP and MRP experience
- Knowledge of forecasting tools and best practices, including techniques and methods to develop forecasting models
- Advanced analytical skills and ability to manage large sets of complex data
- Experience with complex manufacturing business systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to learn technical concepts through reading work instructions and standard operating procedures, and on-the-job training
