Workshop Controller requried for a Repair Centre in Middlesbrough
Salary DOE in the region of 35-40k basic + Bonus + Many company benefits

As aWorkshop Controller,you will assist the daily operation on the workshop and its various components ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. You will monitor and control use of all workshop resources to ensure maximum impact on quality of work.

Responsibilities of a Workshop Controller will include:

  • Lead, supervise, and provide direction to our Repair Technicians.
  • Ensure accurate recording and interpretation of production metrics for planning and improvement.
  • Manage the work area, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness for efficient operations.
  • Uphold regulatory compliance and ensure sensitive information is communicated appropriately.
  • Responsibility for the efficient running of the workshop and maintaining high levels of productivity.
  • Ensuring the workshop equipment and tools are maintained, thus maintaining a professional workshop environment at all times.
  • Liaise with Service to ensure customers are kept informed and manage any complaints that may arise

Skills and experience required as a Workshop Controller:

  • Leadership experience in managing large teams.
  • Extensive understanding of the vehicle repair industry, vehicle legislation and trade practises
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and a willingness to learn software tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy.
  • Effective communication skills to foster collaboration and teamwork.
