Do you want to be one of the first employees to join a new standalone joint venture organisation to develop the HR function, shape the organisation and drive the organisation's culture?Hays HR is delighted to be working exclusively with an organisation on the recruitment of an HR Manager for a permanent position on an exclusive basis. This is an amazing opportunity to join a standalone joint venture organisation to set up the HR function.

The role will be located in the Tees Valley region with hybrid working reporting to the Managing Director. This is one of the first positions within the organisation to shape and grow the organisation through the development and implementation of policies and procedures while setting up the HR function and evolution of the company alongside the Leadership team, leading on shaping the organisation's culture.

Responsibilities will include

  • Responsible for all HR services within the organisation
  • Setting up policies, procedures and compliance
  • Leading on all recruitment activities; advertising roles, interviewing and compliance for all contractors and permanent recruitment.
  • Involved in building talent pools and market searching for potential employees
  • Document writing; developing contracts, policies and process mapping
  • Performance management
  • Managing the outsourced payroll provider ensures the service is delivered on time.
  • Governance

To be successful at being selected for an interview, you must have experience / demonstrate the below:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced organisation
  • Experience in a similar role previously or operating at an HR Business Partner / HR Manager level
  • CIPD Qualified L.5 or above or Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration
  • Proven capability and experience in talent management, employee relations and change management with deep experience in organisational development and change.
  • A track record of effective HR strategic partnering, with a demonstrated ability to apply business acumen and clearly link value to business results.
  • Knowledge of legislation and regulations
