Job Opportunity: Criminal Defence Solicitor 3+ years PQE (full time or flexible work schedule) 

My reputable client is looking to recruit an experienced Criminal Defence Solicitor or Consultant to join their busy team in Middlesbrough in an exciting role! This role would be suitable for full-time or part-time candidates and also solicitors looking to move into consultant work and reduce their hours, allowing for an excellent level of flexibility. 

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients at the Police Station
  • Represent clients at the Magistrates Courts, including Trials
  • Act as Litigator in Crown Court cases
  • Represent clients for varied offences, ranging from road traffic offences to serious sexual, drug, and fraud cases
  • Maintain Professional Development

Typical working hours:

  • Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm for full time candidates with availability to do 3-days if part time (hours negotiable).  
  • Additional out-of-hours police station callouts remunerated on a 50% split fee basis
  • Occasional Saturday/Bank Holiday court representation where required 
  • 1 hour lunch break
