Our client is a growing family run firm based in the centre of Middlesbrough, specialising in Criminal Defence and Family/Children Law, with a reputation for a high quality client service and a key focus upon developing their staff. They now have an opportunity for a Family Solicitor to join their team.As a collaborative firm that values it’s employees, they’re offering a competitive salary DOE, training and opportunities for progression, above average holidays + Christmas closure, and a workplace pension.For this role, the focus is on publicly funded family law, and the successful candidate will be working with Care and Child Protection matters, working with the Family law team, and managing their own caseload, while developing a high quality Care service for their clients.Responsibilities include: 
  • Providing expert legal advice and representation in public law matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to facilitate case progress.
  • Organising and managing case files, maintaining accurate documentation and records.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year’s Post Qualification Experience within Family Law, although experience prior to qualification would also be taken into account, excellent working knowledge of Legal Aid and CCMS System, and a collaborative approach, with a focus on maintaining excellent internal and external relationships and promotion of the Firm.Membership of Resolution and/or Panel Memberships would be an advantage, but isn’t essential, and applications from Family Solicitors that would prefer part time or more flexible hours will be considered.
