Permanent - Full Time (40 hours per week) - Monday - Friday

Here at Lianhetech, we have a unique opportunity to join us as our Waste Manager - someone to oversee and manage all aspects of our waste disposal and recycling operations.

Known internally as Total Waste Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing innovative waste reduction strategies, ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations, and always promoting sustainable waste management practices across the organization.

As our Manager in Total Waste Management, you’ll…

  • Manage waste disposal contracts and relationships with waste service providers and customers requiring incinerator waste services.
  • Monitor and evaluate waste management processes and practices.
  • Conduct waste audits and identify opportunities for waste reduction and recycling.
  • Prepare and present reports on waste management performance and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements and demonstrate a commitment to creating a safe environment.

About You

We’d like you to be educated to degree level in environmental science, Waste Management or a related field and ideally hold certificates in either Waste Management or Environmental Management, however this is not essential. What is essential is you have proven experience in waste management operations and the safe handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste materials. An in-depth understanding of waste management regulations and best practices is key for this position, as is strong knowledge of sustainable waste management practices and technologies.

A team player who can perform tasks autonomously while also collaborating effectively with the team to achieve common goals, you’ll be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint. With strong analytical, problem-solving skills and communication skills, you’ll ideally be experienced in procurement and/or commercial management in order to contribute towards effective cost management and strategic sourcing.
