About the Role:
A Tier 2 Main Contractor is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Finishing Manager to join their team on a prestigious high-end residential project. This is a live job with one year remaining, and they are looking for a professional who can ensure the highest standards of quality and finish throughout the final stages of construction. The project involves 92 luxury units with a total value of 140M, reflecting the company's commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the fit-out process, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades to achieve project objectives.
- Work closely with other Finishing Managers, Fit Out Managers, Senior Site Managers, and Project Managers to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Address and resolve any issues or defects that arise during the fit-out stage.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Manage and report on project progress, providing updates to the senior management team.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and suppliers.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on high-end residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out processes and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Relevant construction qualifications (e.g., NVQ, HNC, HND, or degree in Construction Management or a related field).
