Your new companyHays is delighted to be supporting a Not-for-Profit organisation in their HQ in Middlesbrough, with offices across the UK. This role is a 6-month temporary position reporting to the HR Director and Director of the South region. The role does require you to travel down to their South Central region a couple of times a month, but some months you may not be required to travel.

Your new roleAs the Interim HR Business Partner, you will be strategic and people focused within the position, supporting people-change projects and developing relationships with all stakeholders within the organisation from entry through to director. You will develop and deliver the regional HR Business plan and ensure it is consistent with the people strategy.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating and reporting on the operational impact of HR Metrics
  • Building and managing relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Supporting, guiding and advising managers on all operational HR matters such as absent management, employee engagement and productivity, to ensure the right HR practices are implemented.
  • Managing complex HR issues and escalated cases so that employees and managers are supported during performance management and poor performance is rectified in accordance with policy.
  • Supporting and influencing a culture where employees are recognised and rewarded while promoting employee engagement
  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment legislation requirements

What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this position, you must be happy to travel down south and have experience with the following:

  • HR Generalist experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercially and operationally focused
  • CIPD L.5 qualified
