Business Development Manager, Teesside
Salary circa 60,000 per annum, company car & excellent bonus
Talent84 are delighted to be supporting an innovative manufacturing client, an industry leader in the global sealing industry, with their search for a Business Development Manager. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth by identifying opportunities in existing and new markets. This is a homebased role with regular travel to clients to in the Durham/Teesside areas.
Responsibilities
- Proactively drive sales growth by identifying new business, negotiating contracts and close deals to meet or exceed targets
- Work with clients to provide technical solutions to issues and aligning products with customers needs
- Formulate market entry strategies, identifying new markets and consistently look to grow market share
- Generate leads through regular networking, prospecting and relationship building to drive new business opportunities and pipeline
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge
- Act as a clear communication channel between clients and internal teams, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely delivery of efficient solutions
Key Criteria
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar field (desirable)
- Proven/prior experience in business development, key account management and/or sales, in a technical environment
- Excellent understanding of the oil and gas and petrochemical industries
- Clear communicator with the ability to influence and negotiate
- Ability to demonstrate a resilient and tenacious attitude to achieving company objectives in a fast-paced, challenging role
- Have an innovative and positive attitude to overachieving against targets
- Fluent use of MS Office and CRM database (ideally HubSpot)
