Children's Social Worker - Assessment & Safeguarding ServiceWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment and Safeguarding Service. You will play a vital part in safeguarding vulnerable children and supporting families, making a real difference in their lives.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of children and families, identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to address the specific needs of children and families, promoting their well-being and creating positive outcomes.
  • Manage a mixed caseload of children in a variety of circumstances (CIN/CP/LAC), providing ongoing support and Prepare reports and attend court hearings related to child protection matters, advocating for the best interests of children.
  • Work closely with other professionals, including police, health services, education providers, and other agencies, to ensure a coordinated response to families needs.
  • Champion the needs of children and families, ensuring they have access to appropriate services and support, and their voices are heard.

The successful candidate will hold a mixture of cases ranging through from assessment, CIN, CP and Court cases. We cover the short term through to longer term work within the Authority until the point of conclusion or transfer to the Children's Looked After Team.Essential Requirements:

  • Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
  • Proven experience working with children and families in a child protection context.
  • DBS on update service
