The Cared for Children's team works closely with children and young people who are currently in care, ensuring they receive the support and stability they need. As part of this team, you'll help children who are unable to live with their families, supporting their care plans and working towards the best outcomes for their futures.



What is on offer?

  • Earn up to £45,416, including a 15% market supplement.
  • Relocation support up to £8,000
  • Generous annual leave starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days after 5 years, plus paid bank holidays (combined equivalent value of nearly £6,000).
  • Employer contributions of 11.5% (worth over £5,000 annually), plus a death-in-service benefit of 3.5 times your salary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, review, and implement robust Child in Care (CIC) plans, ensuring each child's care plan meets their developmental, emotional, and safeguarding needs.
  • Regularly assess the child's safety and wellbeing through Section 47 assessments and statutory visits, identifying any risks
  • Act as a lead professional in multi-agency meetings, such as Looked After Child (LAC) reviews and core group meetings, collaborating with health, education, and other professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Represent the child's voice in all decision-making processes, ensuring their views, wishes, and feelings are central to their care plan

Requirements:

  • Relevant social work qualification
  • 2 years relevant experience
