Join our MACH team, the compassionate front door of our local authority, where your work will ensure that children and families receive the support they need. In this role, you'll assess and triage incoming information to identify unique needs and risks. You will provide essential support through brief interventions or connect families with specialized services like SCP (Specialist Children Services).



What is on offer?

  • Earn up to £45,416, including a 15% market supplement.
  • Relocation support up to £8,000
  • Generous annual leave starting at 26 days, rising to 31 days after 5 years, plus paid bank holidays (combined equivalent value of nearly £6,000).
  • Employer contributions of 11.5% (worth over £5,000 annually), plus a death-in-service benefit of 3.5 times your salary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess and prioritise referrals to determine the urgency and appropriate course of action for each case, ensuring that children and families in need receive timely support.
  • Act as an advocate for people, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes and that they have access to the services and resources they need.
  • Regularly monitor and review progress against transition plans, adjusting support as needed to ensure young people are on track to achieve their goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, plans, and interventions, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.



Requirements:

  • Relevant social work qualification
  • 2 years relevant experience
