Job Description:The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. This role is crucial in helping students develop their literacy skills, fostering a love for literature, and supporting their academic and personal growth.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to KS3/KS4 students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Support students' social and emotional development, addressing any barriers to learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English at KS3/KS4 level.
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a pupil referral unit or similar setting.
- Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN).
