We are looking for a full-time Trade Counter Sales Assistant with good communication skills and knowledge of the building trade.
This is a key customer facing role within an often fast paced environment.
Salary: 11.44 per hour
Schedule:
- 40 Hours a week
- 8 hour shifts
- Day shifts
- 5 days Monday to Sunday
The main duties will include;
- Meeting and greeting customers at the sales counter.
- Assisting with face to face and telephone enquiries.
- Providing customers with information and advice on stock availability and prices.
- Loading the delivery vehicle.
- If the candidate has a full clean driving licence they may be required to deliver goods to customers properties during very busy periods.
- Unloading deliveries at the warehouse.
- Pricing stock and putting it out for sale.
- Help to maintain a well-stocked, clean, tidy and safe working environment.
You will need :
- Knowledgeable of DIY, timber and building products is preferred but training will be given to the right candidate.
- Be a team player who thrives in an environment where no two days are the same.
- Confident speaking to customers on the telephone and face to face.
- Have a willingness to 'muck in' and carry out a variety of tasks.
- Have the ability to engage with a broad customer base.
- Be friendly and approachable.
- Be able to work weekends.
