Sonic Summary

An experienced Electronics Design Engineer is sought to join a leading scientific instrument manufacturer.
The role involves developing electronics for instrument control, data acquisition, and display units for complex scientific instruments.
Candidates should have a degree in Electronics Engineering and extensive experience in electronic design, including analogue, FPGA, and microcontrollers.
The position requires at least 5 years of experience and includes line management responsibilities.
A highly competitive salary is offered, along with full training on company products.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join a world-renowned scientific instrument manufacturer.

Focusing on high-tech, cutting-edge analytical instrumentation, your primary responsibility will be developing the electronics for instrument control, data acquisition and display units for complex scientific instruments. You will need to communicate effectively with chemists, physicists and mechanical/software engineers to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget. Due to the seniority of the role, you will also have line management responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

Electronics Engineering degree
Extensive electronic design experience including analogue, FPGA, microcontrollers and associated firmware
Experience of high-voltage, low noise systems
Ability to design complex multilayer surface-mount PCB’s
