Our client, a prestigious boarding school based in Milnthorpe, is looking for an enthusiastic Cleaner to join their team from Monday 4th November on a temp to perm basis. The hours are Monday - Friday, 3pm - 6pm. 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Clean designated areas of the school site as assigned by the cleaner in charge.
- Follow instructions from the Site Manager regarding the use of cleaning materials.
- Utilise cleaning machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and polishers, to ensure both soft and hard surfaces are sparkling clean.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding school-related matters, respecting the importance of sensitive information.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
Key duties include:
- Vacuuming both hard and soft floors.
- Swiftly spot cleaning any spillages.
- Wiping and polishing furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors, and door glass.
- Emptying and cleaning waste and recycling bins.
- Ensuring toilets are thoroughly cleaned, including sanitary fittings and surrounds.
- Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.
- Maintaining the appearance of furniture by wiping, polishing, and straightening.
- Restocking supplies in toilets and classrooms.
- Checking windows and switching off lights at the end of each shift.
- Assisting with other duties as allocated from time to time.
Requirements:
- Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety practises.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.
