A leading top 40 accountancy firm is seeking an Audit Senior to join their growing team in Milton Keynes. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment across a variety of industries, with 80% focused on audits and 20% on accounts preparation. You'll report directly to Audit Managers while supervising junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audits with turnovers up to £250 million, including specialist audits (FSA, pensions, solicitors, charities, schools).
  • Supervise and assist junior staff with technical audit and accounting issues.
  • Prepare draft statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
  • Draft management recommendations following audit completion.
  • Handle group reporting for component audits and larger accounts preparation jobs for audit-exempt entities.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to completion.
  • At least 2.5 years of experience in an accountancy practice, with a solid audit background.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and budgets with minimal supervision.
