The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an AR and Payroll Accountant on behalf of a successful Manufacturing and Sales business with offices in Milton Keynes.

The Role

As AR and Payroll Accountant you will be tasked with monitoring, maintaining and taking responsibility for the sales ledgers in terms of debt collection control and ledger housekeeping. The other main part of the role will be to manage UK payroll requirements for the business. In addition, there will be month end responsibilities including HMRC governmental reporting and bank reconciliations. Day to day duties will consist of:

  • Accounts Receivable: Keeping overdue debts to a minimum by employing efficient debt control methods and ensuring accounts are well maintained.
  • Payroll Processing : Running monthly payroll salaries and pension contributions.
  • Direct Debit Management: To control the direct debt collections each month.
  • Bank Accounts: Ensuring a successful and complete bank reconciliation at each month end.
  • HMRC Reporting: Ensuring VAT, Intrastat and other reporting are reported within governmental deadlines as necessary.

Your Profile.

You will ideally have a mixed Credit Control and Payroll skillset with the ability to work internally across all stakeholders and externally with customers. If you are stronger/more proficient in one area then this will be considered and you will be upskilled in the area you have less experience in.
