Description
Financial Accountant:
- Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Manages income recognition through preparation and reconciliation of deferred income and income accruals.
- Conducts analytical reviews to ensure accuracy in tuition and other income.
- Ensures compliance with VAT and corporation tax regulations.
- Prepares corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and statutory accounts.
- Oversees accounts receivable refunds, bad debt provisions, and accruals.
- Ensures accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets.
- Prepares fixed asset reconciliations and reporting for financial statements.
- Monitors capex budgets and provides reporting to senior management.
- Streamlining accounting functions and operations
- Providing financial advice to management
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
