Job Title: Financial Controller Reporting to: Finance Director Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time - Hybrid

Overview: The Accountancy and Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently working with a world leading manufacturing business at their Head Quarters based in Milton Keynes. We are looking for a Financial Controller to manage day-to-day finance operations across both the UK and US offices. This role includes supervising one direct report and working closely with other departments for sales and purchasing data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for the Group.
  • Manage the day today finance function for UK.
  • Manage one direct report
  • Provide financial and HR reports for the MD and FD.
  • Oversee outsourced payroll.
  • Ensure timely invoicing in line with Incoterms and contracts.
  • Maintain financial controls and report any issues to the FD.
  • Deliver commercial insights from finance data.
  • Prepare annual budgets and strategic plans.
  • Manage year-end processes and liaise with auditors.
  • Ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
  • Perform credit checks and manage overdue accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and support management reporting.
  • Coordinate stocktake and ensure accurate valuation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work across all levels of the business.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to manage a variety of tasks from transactional to preparation of accounts.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Competent IT skills: knowledge of Dynamics is a plus but essential.
